Itinerary
 
Saturday
We meet in the lobby of Hotel Regina, 192 Rue de Rivoli, Paris at 4 p.m. (16:00) and transfer to Esprit d' Europe moored on the river Seine in Paris.  Welcome aboard champange reception and time
to settle into your cabin and discover Esprit D' Europe before dinner on board.  This evening you enjoy an unforgettable cruise through Paris by Night and eperience the magic of Nighttime Paris.
 
Sunday
A private guided coach tour of Paris, or alternatively, free time to explore or shop on your own this morning.  This afternoon, cruise to Bougival, a residential town made famous by the French Impressionists in the 1870's.
 
Monday
This morning, an excursion to Chateau of Malmaison, home of Empress Josephine and on occassions, Napoleon himself.  Malmaison is in one of the loveliest settings in France.  It was the home of the First Consul and his wife and the seat of the French government, along the Tuileries, from 1800 to 1802.  After her divorce from the Emperor, Josephine retired to Malmaison in 1810. 
We return to Esprit D' Europe in Conflans St Honorine for lunch followed by an afternoon cruise to Vernon, a delightful town with a beautiful medieval center.  There is time for a walk arounf town this evening.
 
Tuesday
This morning an early start for a visit to the beautiful house and gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny.  Discover Monet's inspiration for such masterpieces as the "Water Lilies".  The French Government spends in excess of $2 Million on Giverny each year to keep it the way Monet left it when he died in 1926.  The visit to Giverny is followed by a cruise to Rouen, the getway to Normandy.  Monet painted marvelous oils of the Cathedral made famous in the paintings of impressionist Claude Monet.  We have a guided walking tour of the medieval city, half timbered huses and the Gothic Cathedral.  There is free time to explore before dinner.
 
Wednesday
Today we cruise to Duclair, a delightful country village surrounded by apple orchards.  We have the opportunity of a cider tasting after a visit to the famous abbey of Jumiege.  The ruins of this Benedictine Abbey are among the oldest and most beautiful in France.
 
Thursday
Our departure this morning depends on the tides.  We cruise into the estuary of the Seine, passing the expansive suspension bridge at Tancarville to arrive into the cahrming and delightful town of Honfleur.  Join in a guided walking tour of the picturesque harbour considered by some as the birth place of the impressionists movement. Visit the half timbered huses and wooden church of Ste Catharine.  Gala dinner will be served on board this evening.
 
Friday
After breakfast, we return to Paris, Hotel Regina, arriving before lunch.

Price includes: (1) All meals from dinner on day one to breakfast on day seven. (2) Quality French wines served with lunch and dinner.  (3) Daily guided shore excursions in air conditioned comfort.
 
Price does NOT include: (1) Gratuities for crew (we suggest 100 euros per passenger).
