Day 1 Fri: Depart North America
Depart North America on your exciting Forts, Palaces & Tigers tour. Day rooms are provided in Singapore at the AMBASSADOR TRANSIT HOTEL. East Coast passengers connect through London.
 
Day 2 Sat: Arrive Delhi
Today arrive in India’s capital city of Delhi. You are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to the TAJ PALACE HOTEL.
 
Day 3 Sun: Old Delhi Sightseeing
After a leisurely morning, your tour of Old Delhi includes the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. (BD)
 
Day 4 Mon: New Delhi Sightseeing / Jaipur
This morning embark on a tour of New Delhi. Drive along Rajpath, the capital’s broadest avenue to view the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. This afternoon drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Check in at JAI MAHAL PALACE. (BD)
 
Day 5 Tue: Amber Fort Excursion & Jaipur Sightseeing
This morning ascend to the mountain fortress of Amber, riding atop decorated and painted elephants. Enjoy an afternoon tour of Jaipur City as you visit the Hawa Mahal, City Palace and the ancient observatory. (BD)
 
Day 6 Wed: Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra
This morning drive to Agra, stopping en route to visit the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. In Agra, visit the 16th-century Agra Fort and enjoy the magnificent Taj Mahal in the warm glow of sunset. TAJ VIEW HOTEL (BD)
 
Day 7 Thu: Agra / Orchha / Khajuraho
This morning experience a train ride to Jhansi, a major junction for both road and rail. Continue by road to Khajuraho, stopping en route to visit Orchha, a medieval city frozen in time and space, existing to this day as it must have in the 17th century. HOTEL CHANDELA (BD)
 
Day 8 Fri: Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh National Park
This morning, visit the Western & Eastern groups of temples, followed by a drive to Bandhavgarh National Park in the hills of the Vindhyan Ranges. The park is home to the white tiger and other animal species, such as Indian bison, sambar deer, barking deer and blue bull. Spend two days of game viewing and bird watching in these valleys. NATURE HERITAGE. (BD)
 
Day 9 Sat: Bandhavgarh Game Viewing
Enjoy morning and afternoon game viewing. NATURE HERITAGE. (BD)
 
Day 10 Sun: Bandhavgarh National Park / Khajuraho
After your morning game drive, return to Khajuraho and check into HOTEL CHANDELA (BD).
 
Day 11 Mon: Khajuraho / Varanasi
Late morning fly to Varanasi (Benares), India’s holiest city. Visit the stupas and the ruins at Sarnath, the site of Buddha’s first sermon. This evening meet with an expert astrologer who will read your palm, if you so desire. TAJ GANGES (BD)
 
Day 12 Tue: Varanasi / Delhi / Home
Enjoy the sunrise during an early-morning boat ride on the Ganges, followed by a walking tour of the old city. Afternoon fly to Delhi. Upon arrival, you would be met and transferred to your hotel, where room will be blocked for wash and change. Following dinner, you will be transferred to the International airport for flight back home. (BD)
 
Day 13 Wed: Arrive North America
Arrive home today, filled with warm memories of your journey through fascinating India.
